-Arise-

“And when the danger passed, and the people joined together again, they grieved their losses, and made new choices, and dreamed new images, and created new ways to live and heal the earth fully, as they had been healed."

I don't know much about fishing. I've only gone a few times in my life, but I do have a deep affinity for fish flies and can spend hours in the fishing section at L.L. Bean - if that adds a bit to my meager experience. I mention this because the energy of the last nine months for me personally have felt like untangling a series of complex knots in fishing wire while minding the hook and mechanics of the rod as part of the uncoiling. And when the work is accomplished, I have all the parts of the whole mechanism in their natural state to launch out a smooth cast. The experience of untangling these personal knots has taught me the need to surrender to divine timing. It has asked me to trust that All is unfolding in its natural order.

Last week I talked about the daily practice of surrender, letting go and letting flow. In many ways I needed to be reminded of this practice to allow the final bits of my fishing wire to untangle. Practicing surrender isn't always the easiest as I have many parts of myself that try to dig in and grasp for control in order to feel safe and secure. As a child and young adult I experienced many unknowns and surprises (just as so many others have experienced). In school, I found myself not being able to learn, read, write and concentrate in the same way as many of my classmates. This shame and the unpredictability of my family life lead to me programing myself to be many steps ahead of others to try to hide my unique way of learning and to try to stay detached so that I wasn't too hurt or disappointed by those around me. It was absolutely exhausting, and in all truth an impossible feat.

I found myself over the last several months allowing this programming - this lifelong way of relating and connecting - to heal and uncoil on a much deeper level then ever before. I was ready to cast it out into the sea to be transmuted, freeing myself from the entanglement of it. This freeing has started to create new space for me to think, to plan, to be, to dream up what is next. This freeing has allowed me to step deeper into my truth and to be bolder with my voice. And with this new voice I have So much to announce - a new website - Raven's Heart Healing, an upcoming art show, and some cool workshops and trainings!

Are you ready to uncoil? What wires and programming are you caught in? Would you like some support?

Much love to you and your spirit,

Sara
