A Higher Love

I hope that November is treating you gently as we find ourselves in such activated and turbulent times. I continue to be humbled as I witness and internally process the war, murder, abuse of power and greed that are erupting locally and globally. At times, this witnessing has challenged my sense of faith, trust, and hope. These times have necessitated that I dwell in and act out of new and unpracticed places within me. Places of unwavering compassion and witnessing without judgement. These times have required me to transform my typical reflexes that are well-practiced and have their roots in old and antiquated patterns.
I have been turning to my guides and vibrant ancestors for personal messages and lessons. My guides continue to request that I clear myself out energetically more and more. They ask me to unpack my own hate, my own ignorance, my own prejudice. My guides give me lessons on shadow and light, asking me to befriend myself on a deeper level, to learn how to be with all aspects and expressions of myself so I can hold that space for others, especially others that don’t share my views and beliefs. My vibrant ancient ancestors have asked me to start looking at if and how there might be war inside of me. They encouraged me to notice what I am radiating outward and how it might be contributing to the collective. They show me the threads of ancestral trauma and history that live within my blood and bone and within the lands I walk.
We are seeing action around the world be directed by deep, age-old and unresolved trauma. An astrologer I follow, Jessica Lanyadoo, said something last month that really hit home to me.
"The way we show up for world issues makes up the world."
And so I have been doing my internal work and sitting with the medicine of looking at the source, the source of the information I am gathering, whether that be in media or the source of internal information and triggers that might be coming to my surface. All the work, the self-clearing, the unpacking, the examination of self, is there to create space so I can be shown right action and right relationship.
