WHat is a hollow bone?
Becoming a Hollow Bone is a daily, life-long practice of consciously taking space to separate personal reaction and prejudice from the messages received from ordinary reality and the spirit world. Hollow Bone work lets the energy and information of the spirit world flow through the shamanic practitioner and provides the clarity to share signs, messages and healing authentically.
Hollow Bone is a frequency of awareness that can be reached through turning to face and greet all aspects and expressions of yourself, even your shadows, embracing them, listening to them and healing them and most importantly identifying them as only parts of you and not the truth of your being, not who you are. It is the creation of space between stimulus and response. It’s a practice of rooting with Mother Earth and reaching out to Source to be a pure conduit for compassionate spirit’s message and healing. Lakota holy man, Fools Crow explains it beautifully,
"We are called to become hollow bones for our people, and anyone else we can help. We are not supposed to seek power for our personal use and honor. What we bones really become is the pipeline that connects Wakan Tanka, the helpers, and the community together."
