TOOLS to Support Unwinding & Cleansing of Energy for the New Year.
Rattle- The rattle has amazing dispelling abilities. I rattle over my body everyday (front and back) in long sweeps to ask energy to unwind. I also find it supportive to rattle by each ear to offer my body and soul a wake up call. For your space- open a window/door and rattle out the energy - long swooping lines sending the energy through the door/window. Ask that the energy be neutralized as it releases and offered for the best and highest expression to the world. If you work with compassionate guides that open and close portals, then seek their support as you ask for this energy to release.
Hydration- Check-in with your body if it needs more or less water. Ask your body if it is actually absorbing the water you consume. Does your body need electrolytes to support its cleansing and hydration process?
Deep Breathing and Humming- Set an alarm for multiple times a day, or before each meal, offer yourself a few moments for conscious breathing. Add a hum to the exhale of your breaths. This can support in stimulating your Vagus nerve.
Physical Movement & Music- A gentle walk, dancing, supportive stretching, swaying around your home... It invites energy to move through your body and can support your body's production of dopamine. Music can speak to your psyche and soul in a way no other often can.
Practice Smiling- Try it now. Notice how it invites your body to reorient itself and your spine and posture to shift. All these tiny adjustments align your body to start to unwind tension.
Make a Medicine Bag- Find a small satchel to carry in your pocket or around your neck. Place a supportive stone or crystal in it along with some sage. Check in with yourself throughout the day and ask that the stone/crystal and sage absorb the energy you need to release. At the end of the day, cleanse the stone and burn the sage in gratitude for its support.
Shower- Taking a shower with salt scrubs or soaking in a tub with salts and then rinsing off can be deeply cleansing and renewing for our bodies and psyches.
Connecting with Mother Earth & Father Sky- Place your bare feet to the earth and/or touch the earth's skin with your hands. This tactile connection helps you to ground and renew. Taking in the day's sky, finding the Sun, finding the Moon and stargazing invites a new sense of expansion in your body.
Sage & Palo Santo- Turn to your sacred allies. Sage and Palo Santo can be incredibly supportive in loosening up energy, inviting release, and cleansing your body and space.
